The emphasis is not just on the running but ensuring we are maximizing our experience of the local communities and wild places that we visit. We feel incredibly lucky to be able to do what we do, and it only seems right that we strive to be better and make a difference in every avenue that our running adventures tread.
As part of our commitment to the environment, we will be making a donation from every booking to plant a tree in your name. Planting a tree is one of the best things we can do to fight climate change, as they remove carbon dioxide from the air as they grow. They also provide a habitat for a wide range of the most endangered and loved species and create clean air for us to breathe.
Our trees will be planted in Scotland to grow as part of a whole new forest full of native broadleaf tree species. As part of our booking process, every single booking we take will contribute to a new tree being planted. All of our guests will receive a certificate from Trees Not Tees that includes a picture of your tree, details of the species, and a unique geo-location address so you can even go and visit it.
Drawing inspiration from our ESTEEM principles (Eat locally, Stay eco-friendly, Transport alternatively, Experience meaningfully, Empower viably, Make a difference), Sustainable Trails focus on a “tread carefully”– approach in traversing through our Asia. An enlightened, meaningful way to explore, partaking in one of our crafted itineraries contributes to environmentally friendly causes, gives back to society and respectfully engages with local communities. We have joined forces with local players with a mutual interest in organizing excursions and activities of a sustainable nature.
